Poltergeist Reboot? Quick little mention.

Yes, you heard right, the evil spirits are back in the brand new reboot of Poltergeist. The 1982 classic Poltergeist has been re-newed, rebooted from the original tale by producer Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan.
The new flick focuses on the Bowen family, with Dad Eric (Sam Rockwell), Mother Amy (Rosemarie DeWitt) and children Kendra (Saxon Sharbino), Griffin (Kyle Catlett) and Madison (Kennedi Clements), and they become the main focus of supernatural attention. They move into a suburban home, and they soon discover there is more too it than it seems, and it’s also linked to the spirit world through a variety of portals.
I'm such a big fan of horror films, and in particular I love this film, as its such a classic paranormal horror and its one I think everyone will have watched at one point. And I am glad its being rebooted as I think with the film technology and standard we have today, why not use those to better classic films visually, and I think a new version will interest younger audiences and maybe encourage them to divulge into the older versions.

"The original film commented on how we've let television get out of control, babysitting our kids...It's only gotten worse with the handheld portable devices. Screens are everywhere."-Sam Raimi.

Director Sam Raimi is also ready for the standard response to the word “reboot” being used about a classic and well loved film. "Whenever someone approaches material that's so beloved, there's a reflexive reaction to be worried," says Kenan. "It's a responsibility we take very seriously. We're working to make a Poltergeist film that lives up to the original's legacy."
The Poltergeist’s trailer is due to be available online tomorrow. The film will haunt the UK on July 24 2015.
I am certainly excited and can't wait to see the trailer tomorrow and the film in July. So are you excited for the reboot? Have you seen the original?
Thankyou for reading this little post and let me know what you think! :-)
