Fifty Shades of Grey.

Now this I think could possibly be the most controversial yet successful film of 2015. Yes, the best selling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" is being made into a film which will be released on Valentines day this year! There are three books in total, "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed". And yes, I have read all three books, I am guilty, and I have to say besides all the obvious mad sex references, I really enjoyed reading the love story between Ana and Christian.

If you haven't read the books or maybe you havent heard of it at all, which I would guess is highly unlikely due to its mass success and buzz. But the book is based around Anastasia Steele, a literature student, who goes to interview Christian Grey, who is a very wealthy businessman. Ana is exteremly innocent and naive and she starts to realize she wants him and is falling for him. And despite Christian warning Ana away from him he wants her too, but on his own terms. Ana soon discovers the singular tastes of Christian Grey. Despite Christians success, his multinational businesses, his wealth, his loving family, he is consumed by the need to control everything and is a very damaged and broken man. And that is a summary of the story, and soon the film adapted from the book will be shown on cinema screens all over the world.

Now Fifty Shades of Grey is supposed to be very graphic, as the book is fully based around sex, bondage, submission, relationships. And from reading the book myself, it certainly is very descriptive and graphic, so I was suprised when they announced it would be a movie, well I was and I wasn't. Because it was such a best seller I am not suprised, but because of the obvious content I was suprised because I thought, how would they pull this off so its okay to show in cinemas? But I'm sure we will definitely see how they do it when it comes out on Valentines Day. Obviously I think or know there will be alot of sex, bondage all that jazz in the film, I just think it will not be as descriptive as the books. To be honest, I don't think they will need to show too much because people going to see it will obviously have either read the books or know what its about and what to expect.

Now the cast. When Dakota Johnson was revealed to be playing Ana, I have to be honest, I was not liking it. Simply because she wasn't the first vision I already had of the character Ana from the books, and she didn't seem like the right choice. But when the first, then second trailer were released, I was proven wrong, she really did live up to the shy, awkward character Ana is just through the trailer, and she did look a little like her when in action. So I am looking forward to seeing her performance in this film, and I have to say my hat goes off to her for taking the role, because it looks like a very difficult role to play and she obviously has a big fan base to win over, but I'm sure she will blow everyone away. However, she is one lucky lady for having the gorgeous Jamie Dornan playing alongside her as Christian Grey, first things first he is gorgeous! He looks exactly what Christian Grey looked like in my head from the books and when I first heard he was cast as Christian Grey I was very pleased indeed! Again, my hat goes off to him as he has alot of lady fans to please, but I'm very sure as soon as he pops up on that cinema screen he will win them all over. There is also appearances from Rita Ora who plays Christian's sister Mia, I'm sure that will be fun to watch *no sarcasm intended*. And Luke Grimes from True Blood is playing Elliot, who is Christian's brother. He too is gorgeous! And I'm sure his performance will be good too.

"Fifty Shades of Grey is gearing up to have one of the most impressive Valentine’s Day opening weekends in film history. Early projections say the film adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling erotic novel will reach record-breaking box-office numbers. However, it might still find itself lagging against the 2015 competition." -Fifty Shades Article.

I'm very sure it will be highly succesful in the box office and could be a record breaker but we will have to wait and see what lies ahead. But I along with many others I'm sure, will be seeing Fifty Shades when its released in cinemas on Valentines Day. I'm really excited to see it, with the build up from the trailers, the release of the soundtracks, I especially love The Weeknd-Earned It, its just so seductive and sexy and just goes so well with the film, and I love they included soundtracks that were mentioned in the book. They have done well with keeping audiences anticipating the release.

So will you give in and go and see it? Have you read the books? Or are you not a fan?

Thankyou for reading this little post and let me know what you think! :-)
